Not overly pleased with any of the drawings. It was the first time I had drawn on newsprint in many a moon and, as I had only pencils and markers, I wasn't prepared for its' flimsy, acid-riddled, but toothed nature. I tried to work the paper in all media I had available but the results were meh... However, it was the first time I had stood to draw at an easel in many a moon as well, which left my right arm / shoulder hurting but I rather enjoyed the process.
Our model, Jason, did an excellent job for the group. I would tell him how long the next pose would be and he would go to posing - nice mix of poses, as well.
Thanks to Professor Barr for providing the space and Melissa for finding the model.
We'll meet at GHC again on January 20 and, hopefully, with more artists in attendance.
