Finally, I took a moment to try and "develop" one of the poses from recent figure drawing sessions. I chose the seated pose featuring Jenna with spectacles on. Color keyed to Cerulean Blue. Neck is probably still a bit much but a fun exercise to translate the charcoal drawing to acrylic. Look forward to doing more of these.
First time working with Amanda was pretty awesome - very still! Pieces of things were okay and a nice lead in to a final negative drawing that I'm okay with in execution but not necessarily composition.
Fun session with Jenna last night. Began with some Wonder Woman inspired gestures and finished with a long seated pose. Kinda happy with elements from the session particularly the final pose though I either made her head too small (or neck too wide) and her shoulder looks nonexistent like Gumby.
Great first time working with Bill but can't say I turned out anything worth much. Glad I had the opportunity though.
Great session with Andrew on the 6th! Really enjoying the negative drawing for final poses thus far this year.
A couple 10s from last night's sesh with LaDonna and then both parts of the final long drawing. I'm enjoying working negative for the final poses.
Great session with Jenna! Tried doing a negative process for the final long pose with some success. Still need to break out the willow charcoal outside of sessions to re-acclimate myself to using it and getting a variety of grays instead of just a basic middle. Fun, though.
Eric was conceived in the silence of a simple hand gesture and born in January of ‘78. He grew up interested in simple doodles of flowers and big trucks, photos of shadows and dark faces and maps, and old men with fake hair. Since, his studies have narrowed to a focus on papier-mache sculpting, acrylic painting and ink drawing. The grounds he works on vary from paper to wood to canvas.
